I’m at a new school and lunch time is always hard since I have
no friends. I find myself hiding out in the bathroom since I don’t re-
ally know anyone or know where to sit. Will middle school ever get
any better? – Ava, Gilbert, Arizona
A:
Change is never easy, and it sounds like you’re going through a
hard time right now. But remember, this is only a moment in time
and it will pass. Change offers great opportunities to get out of our
comfort zone and grow. Try getting involved in school clubs, activ-
ities or sports, and eventually you will make friends who share the
same interests.
